Women’s Long-Standing Date

Its probably because I’m a man but I don’t think I’ll ever understand a women’s willingness to plan “the most important day of her life.” I’m not sure I’ll ever understand it. Maybe its not all women (but from my perspective, and from those of my boys) its all women who cannot wait for their “special day.”

Now guys care about this day. We really do, but here’s the problem: its not to the same level that women care about their day. I mean who ever really looks forward to standing in the background. Yeah, people are going to be looking at you…but not looking at you. I’m sure if you ask one of Beyonce’s backup dancers how excited they are to be preforming at say, the SuperBowl for the first time. They are going to be excited, but not as Beyonce who is going to center stage.

And thank you Style channel for playing up the fact that all women love weddings. Not only do you, Style Channel, have your multiple wedding shows but during June (which is “The Month with the Most Weddings”) you have your “21 days of Weddings” or something like that. Which only puts a woman, like my Princess into wedding planning overdrive.

But at least you, Style Network, attempt to showcase the “most important day in his life” when he goes to propose. Women let me tell you something (so get close to the screen): stop trying to force the engagement. That’s one of the most important days in our life. So when you try to force it to get to your day. That’s selfish! Believe me, guys are (somewhat) smarter then you women take us for. We have to man up to be the Prince Charming that you want us to be. Believe me. We know that you wanna get married. But we want to propose to you because we (men) realize that we can’t live without you. So don’t try to force it because you don’t know when an engagement is gonna happen. Don’t worry. Whatever the wait, trust it’ll be worth it because when it happens it would have happened because the man will have realized for himself that you are the most important thing/person in his life.

Post Script: and yes that means more important than his car, computer, hobbies, job, friends, and any other thing you can raise a comparision to.
