Kanye vs Curtis

So I picked up Kanye’s album today and the ish is genius. I’m telling you, genius…its great.
Now I’m very much more inclined to buy Kanye’s album as opposed to 50’s (well that is if I was going to buy either albums…)
Not only is Kanye a more consistent rapper, but he also makes album that I could actually listen to the entire thing and not have to skip around. Not a lot of artist (all genres) can say that.
Anywhoo, I’m listening to Kanye’s album and some tracks sound familiar…where have I heard them before. Then I remember, Entourage. Yes last week, Ye had a guest appearance on my favorite show, and the end credits played one of the tracks off his album which brings me to my point. Kanye is a better promoter than 50.
Let’s think, what has been 50’s selling point: if he doesn’t sell more than Kanye then he’ll retire from rapping…alright. That’s cool I guess. 50 is known for his beef. That’s how he sells. Whenever a new album is about to drop he’ll start some beef. What does Ye do? Well he’ll ignore the beef and order the fleit mignon.
Kanye not only pretty much ignored 50, but states he’d rather outsell Justin Timberlake becasue that’s someone to worry about. Ye also tries to appeal to a different fanbase by taking over the September issue of Complex and like I stated earlier…by appearing on Entourage. Its these little things that make people take notice. Not dropping a new single and video every 2 weeks before your album drops.
I encourage every to go out and get Kanye’s Graduation. I mean wouldn’t you want everyone to come to your graduation?!?

My son turned me on to kanye and I am still thanking him for it. His music is so real that you can’t help but become part of any song that you listen to . Keep Being Blessed young brother. As for 50 His music is just where he is in mind ritht now, and growth is on it’s way. I am glad for anyone that can follow a dream and see where it takes you.
