The State of Video Music
so if you still try to keep up with video music…then you would probably know that the VMAs were last night. The original biggest night dot video music. Well if that was the biggest night then I’m ready for day break, because that was sad. Yes…there were some highlights (Chris Brown, Mark Ronson, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake) but lets think of the point of that show. If it was to have the largest party in Vegas than they world have accomplished their goal (I mean they did take over the Palms) but at the end of the day its an award show. And during this “award show” they gave out a total of 8 awards. Thats right…8!!! What a bloody shame. And 2 of the awards were clearly thought of earlier that week…
i think Justin Timberlake said it best, “Play More Videos!” i mean i’m sure mtv did have a hard time with the VMAs this year because on a daily basis they do only show a total of 4 possibly 5 hours of videos. Come on MTV…we can do better than that. no wonder you only gave out 8 awards…you (MTV) have no idea whats goin on with music videos…and its sad when even the artists know why…
But here’s some VMA thoughts:
- brittney’s performance was wack and waste of time. She def should have kept practicing and made her big comeback at a time when she felt more comfortable
- Stop the Rocker Violence [Kid Rock vs. Tommy Lee]
- Instead of telling about Chris Brown’s performance…why don’t you just watch it yourself…
- And since I really need to cop that Mark Ronson when it comes out…here’s Stop Me (along with some other tracks):
