This post was orginnally ment to be finished on Oct.7th (my birthday)…but it obviously didn’t happen. So what beter time then the present.

What days birthdays are. I like to call them “Celebrations of Life” but today that title has brought about some difficulty. You see that title definitley came to light today. Today is my birthday and not only is it my birthday but it’s my princess’s birthday as well. And with both of those joyous occasions it should be time to celebrate (reason why we’re in California). When I woke up this morning I was going to post about how awesome birthdays are. But when Jess woke up this morning she recieved news that one of her good friends had passed away from the lukema that he had fighting for over 8 years.

It definitley changed the mood of the day. It made us truly think about how important it is to live each day to the fullest. It’s also important that we realize that each day is a gift (and that’s why its called the “present”). And not only is each day a gift, not only should we live each day to the fullest but we should celebrate the life that we have. No matter what kind of hardships we have in our lives, we have to realize that we are here for a reason and we should celebrate.

I would write for a bit longer…but I’m going out to cease the day.
