24 or 14
So the end of the year is only a few hours away. You know what that means: parties (you know starting with straight shots and then poppin bottles), marathons (because obviously people at television stations like Vh1 and MTV don’t wanna work), and New Year’s Resolutions.
If you know me then you know that I’m no different. For the past 2 years I’ve posted my list of New Year’s Resolutions; in 2006 it was the 26 in 2006 followed by the 27 in 2007. But this year I’m wondering if I should follow that tradition or should I tweak it slightly?
Oh no worries there will still be a list. But here’s the question…should it be 24 items or 14 items?
But B, why not 28?
Well I was thinking of that…and then I looked at my track record for actually completing the list. My record has been only slightly better then the Miami Dolphins. So why those two (2) number choices:
- 24 - It just seemed like a good managable number. 12 months in a year so if I accomplish and/or consistently work on 2 goals a month then I’ll finish the whole list.
- 14 - Well the site is Forty One Acres…and if I’m not doing 28 in 2008 I damn sure not doing 41. So I inverse the numbers and there’s 14.
So there it is…24 or 14. Like American Idol and Captain Planet…the power is in your hands.
