Short Bio

  • Government Name: Brandon Coleman
  • Birthday: 10.07.83 (feel free to buy me presents)
  • Why fortyone acres?: Well as a history major and a black man I felt it would only be within reason for me to reclaim not only the forty acres that were promised but take one more for the mule that died back in the 1900s.
  • Reason for Writing: I’ve always wanted to express my thoughts. I feel like I have a view point that’s unique and not expressed enough, whether its online or in the media. That viewpoint being of a young black male. One who has come from a small town, and is going to college and wants to do something for himself, his community, and for the welfare of black society. And until I think of a proper course of action for the last part I’ll just keep writing and expressing my views. Maybe someone will agree with me and help me change the world. Until then I’m gonna keep doing what I do and calling life like I see it.
  • History of Writing: It started with The BlackPages™, which was a newsletter I sent to my friends, that I used as an outlet to express my views and feelings when I started college. Some might call it a emailed blog, before blogging was cool, I’ll just stick to calling it The BlackPages™. I tried to write bi-monthly, that didn’t work. So then I tried monthly, which worked for a while. And then I just tried to keep writing it. There hasn’t been a BlackPages™ since mid-2005, I belive. Then I got the bright idea, to start a webpage since I love webdesign, and I already owned a domain and hosting server. Hence here I am today…
