Welcome to Forty-One Acres
(WONDER AND WILDNESS AT 6,500 FEET)In a world increasingly run by AI and addicting digital platforms, Forty-One Acres strives to be something different -- real, analog, hands-on, human. This endeavor was founded on the premise that we are losing ourselves and our humanity to a narrow algorithmic digital world and that perhaps it’s time to slow down, turn off the screen, reconnect with our friends and what feeds us (both literally and psychologically), and begin to participate more fully in the physical world around us again. If you love slow living, the art of observation, gardening, reading, storytelling, art, photography, wildlife, creativity, cooking, long and dawdling walks through the woods, and real, old-fashioned mail we think you may enjoy this community.
And while by necessity there will ultimately be an online element (we’re not Luddite, after all), the priority now is building the Forty-One Acres mail club. Try it out for a month or a year!
Here’s what people are saying:
“I received my first mail club dispatch and it is absolutely delightful! Her ability to capture the voices of her non-human neighbors is enchanting. I really enjoyed the creative mixture of art, factual information, and storytelling. I was moved almost to tears by a poem. If you haven’t yet signed up for the mail club, I encourage you to do so!”
“This is beautiful! I will slowly open and absorb it all. I’m so impressed! I’ve only read through the letter with my daughter and I just love your writing. We get to look forward to receiving these beautiful parcels each month filled with goodness.”
Now available!
The Forty-One Acres Mail Club is now open for either annual or monthly subscription plans. Sign up for the annual plan and receive 10% off. Sign up by the first of the month to receive that month’s mailing. Any sign up after the first will start with the following month.
